Education
Middle school and high school in Swiss and English boarding schools, I graduated high school through the British School System. I have a Batchelor of Science in Languages and Linguuistics from Georgetown University in Washington D.C.I(I majored in Italian Literature and I minored in English). I was accepted into the Columbia University Business school, where I studied business and English Literature.
Experience
I first started tutoring my freshman year at Georgetown when one of my professors hired me as their T.A. (teacher's assistant),and I have been tutoring ever since (approximately 25 years). I started tutoring English to Italian students when I spent time in Italy. My family has a home there, so as a young adult, I spent my summers there, and I often found myself teaching English to Italians. I also spent four years in school in the French part of Switzerland, so I am fluent in French. I actually speak 5 languages, three of them fluently (I am fluent in English, Italian and French and I speak some Spanish and Swahili). I was raised bilingually English and Italian. As a child and young adult, I found myself traveling and living around the world, because of my father's work. Consequently, I acquired a lot of knowledge in geography, languages, art history and diverse cultures. As a result it is very easy for me to understand and embrace different peoples and their respective cultures. I also like to share this love and knowledge of different peoples and their customs with my students.
